The ‘Angels’ are the “Weeping Angels”. They first appeared in an episode called ‘Blink’ (which I think is one of the finest episodes of Dr Who ever). The Angels look just like those stone angels that you can see in some old cemeteries. They are actually living things, but--when they are looked at--are made of stone. If no-one is looking at them, they can move. Incredibly quickly. Therefore, if you ever meet them, you must not blink...
