Hi Micky

I'm about to go to bed after working all night. I was having a little bit of breakfast before I do that, and was thinking of the night before...

It was a little before sunset, and I was in the kitchen at the window. The house at the back of me has a lovely tree, and it is in full leaf & very healthy. Some fat pigeons roost in the tree, and one of them was bludgeoning from branch to branch high in the tree.

As I was taking all this in, I realised how close to me the tree looked to be. It is about 15 -> 20 foot away from the kitchen window (I guess that's about 5 metres - ask your mum to be sure), but it seemed to be ever so much closer. Then I remembered that it is full moon, and I realised that what I was perceiving was the soul of the tree being held up in the trunk & branches.

Trees do not like humans much. They find us very hot & noisy. Trees are quiet, and cool, and steady. When humans come close, the soul of the tree usually goes down into the roots to avoid them. The moon, however, is a big “push-you / pull-me”, and at Full Moon it is all “pull”, and it pulls the soul of all the trees right up their sap, and into the branches (whether they like it or not). That is why big forests can seem a bit scary at full moon; the trees are all looking at you!

Well, hope you have a nice day. Bye bye.
