Dennis Stinchcombe in front of a ‘Thank You’ mural

You can see Dennis Stinchcombe above in front of the mural that has been placed facing the M32 by the Young Bristol Creative Team as a public ‘Thank you’ to Banksy (and what a good job, considering that they only had a couple of days to get it completed & erected).

The above was all reported late yesterday. Dennis is the organiser of the Broad Plain Boys’ Club in Bristol, and the person that spotted an opportunity when the latest Banksy artwork turned up fixed to a door close to his club. Dennis got a carpenter to remove it & put it on display in the club. There was a tussle between Dennis & the Mayor until Banksy sent a letter telling Dennis that he could have it.

Dennis says that he will share some of the proceeds with other youth groups (although he has never committed himself to a figure).
