Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been urging his countrymen & women to “Clean India”. A Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathans (school) in the western city of Ahmedabad took Mr Modi at his word & began cleaning the school lockers.

A stack of ~20 lockers within the staffroom had not been opened in 2 or 3 years, plus appeared to be unassigned, plus no-one could find any keys for 5 of them. The school principal Awadhesh Kumar ordered that these 5 should be broken open. In the 3rd one they found a bag containing banknotes to the value of 10 million rupees (Rs 1 crore) ( £108,000, $160,000). At this point they called in the police. There was more to come...

Locker #16 contained another bag. This bag held 21 solid gold bars, each of 100g & in total currently worth about 6 million rupees (Rs 59 lakh) ($4,097.29 each in Australia) (gold is relatively cheap at this moment).

The lockers were assigned for the use of both teaching & non-teaching staff. Currently, no-one has a clue as to who could possibly have been responsible for these riches in those lockers.
