The General Motors' Vauxhall plant is in Luton, Beds., and it surely cannot be a coincidence that, since August 2013, there have been >500 recorded occasions in which a Vauxhall Astra or Corsa front section has been partially or fully stripped (5 to 10 a week since April 2015). And I do mean STRIPPED!

Common features?

Centred on Luton, Bedfordshire
Late model Vauxhall Astra or Corsa
Parked up in residential location or at garage forecourt
Occurs between 02:00 and 04:00am
Thieves take anything from just bumper + number plate to stripping right down to the chassis

The Thieves must have been Interrupted - they left the Engine Behind

Naturally, the thieves have been caught on CCTV (link at top). No arrests have yet been made.
