You can tell that it is the Summer holidays, and that news is slow... A 1982 Ford Capri has been discovered within & pulled from the Regatta Lake at Holme Pierrepont Country Park, Nottinghamshire:

DVLA records suggest it could have been dumped in the 13ft (4m)-deep waters more than 20 years ago

I moved to Nottingham ~30 years ago & was driving a jet-black Ford Capri at that time very like the one above. However it was never, to the best of my knowledge, ever dumped in a lake.

Holme Pierrepont Country Park is positioned about 10 minutes to the east of Nottingham in 1km² (270 acres) of long-established parkland. It contains the National Water Sports Centre, including the purpose-built 2km (1.24 mile) long Regatta Lake, which is owned and managed by Nottinghamshire County Council.

The Country Park completed 12-months & £6.7m GBP of upgrade on Friday 23rd May 2015. It is now promoting itself as a “Family Fun Park”, and I guess that we can expect to hear many other little news snippets in the future such as this Capri caper.

The Capri was actually discovered on June 30 during a “routine weed check” of the lake (sounds damn suspicious to me) and recovered the next day; this startling news was only recently made public.

Police diver DS Nick Sawdon said: “It was half full of sand so we had to use lifting bags and winches to recover it.” He also pointed out that a family of eels was evicted from the car’s footwell; they were questioned back at station headquarters, but later released.

In pristine condition, the car is reckoned to be worth £15,000 GBP.
