Ian Elkins, Australia's national shearing champion, has been urgently called in to help after a heavily overgrown sheep was found near the capital Canberra.
The sheep was handed in to the RSPCA, who were initially going to shear it themselves (sheep can develop serious health issues if they are not regularly shorn). However, there may be as much as 27kg (60lb) of fleece waiting to be removed, so they decided to call in an expert.
The charity believes that the sheep is male, although they are still waiting for the vet to return from the expedition to find out.
