The Ergotelis player Leonardo Koutris nearly had his back broken when he went down injured during a Greek 2nd division match against AE Larissa. The problem wasn’t rough play during the match. It was the two stretcher bearers that carried him to the sidelines. Or rather, tried to carry him...

Koutris, with an Injury

Koutris got dropped to the pitch twice, then unceremoniously dumped from a height to the grass at pitch-side.

Possibly, it is all a cunning plan to make the players think twice about feigning an injuring at future matches.
