It took me a week to update my computer from Debian 6 (‘squeeze’) to Debian 7 (‘wheezy’) (the Debian versions are all named after characters in Toy Story). It was almost impossible because of specialist AV Linux customisations, but I did it! The one thing that I’m still having problems with is attaching an icon next to the logoff-button (bottom-right) to make it easy to connect/disconnect to the internet. I’ve got the auto-connect facility active & working, and it is also within the menu (bottom-left), but all my work in getting the button to become available for the panel has yielded nothing so far.

That’s the technical bit; here’s what it looks like on the desktop (reduced by 50% as not to upset your delicate mobile bandwidths):

(that is the Cumberland Falls; pretty cool, huh?)

PS
That is a Conky down the rhs, and a specialist Conky Barometer that I made myself at top left. The barometer would probably go better at the bottom-left.
